DIY Bow Belt

featured

I love waist belts, they can take any outfit up a notch, if styled properly. Also, I believe so far my waist is my only non problematic area in my body. I seem to have put on excessive fat everywhere else. It’s not that I don’t exercise, I mean I don’t, but that’s not the point. The point is that food and I can’t resist each other. While I can’t resist eating it,it loves me to the point of clinginess, literally. Anyway, what was I talking about again?Waist belts. Right.

A cute waist belt costs 500 rs(around 8$)upwards, ánd that’s not exactly cheap, at least for me. Besides, I am always up for trying new projects. The idea is pretty simple. A pretty band that cinches at your waist. So, I decided to make them myself and for much lesser. I have been obsessed with bows since Blair Waldorf happened to me, hence the bow belt.

I used scrap fabric for mine, and it cost me 30 rs(half a dollar) to make this belt.No kidding.

There are so many ways to style it. You could pair it with a dress, or high waisted pants or jumpsuits or over cardigans. The possibilities are endless.

I hope you enjoyed this DIY, and took away something from it. Even if a bow belt is not your exactly your style, let it serve as a template for any kind of belt you want to create. Maybe I will do a post on ways to wear a belt. Till next time. Let the force be with you.
